Race for Impact: The United Way National Team Relay

The United Way National Team Relay will take place in conjunction with Greater Washington Sports Alliance’s SunTrust National Marathon and the CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield National Half Marathon on Saturday, March 26, 2011, beginning at 7:00 am at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

The Team Relay is a great way to get fit and support your local community! Relay teams will consist of three participants, with two runners completing 5 mile intervals and one runner completing the final 3.1 mile leg.  The cost per team is $150 with $60 of the total registration fee donated to United Way NCA’s health initiative when the password “11runited” is used during registration. To participate, visit www.NationalMarathon.com.

All United Way Team Relay participants will have access to the same activities and incentives as all National Full and Half Marathon participants, including the ability to sign up for the National Pasta Dinner, and participation in the National Health and Fitness Expo presented by the Washington Convention and Sports Authority and the Safeway Finish Line Festival. Each runner in the relay will also receive a t-shirt, medal and goody bag.
