Service Provider Fair Aims to Help Homeless People Circumvent Waiting Lists

The United Way of the National Capital Area is gearing up to host its second annual Project Homeless Connect on October 19 at Central Union Mission, 65 Massachusetts Ave. NW. The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will connect over 200 homeless Washingtonians with local providers and services that would otherwise take months to access.

Project Homeless Connect Offers One-Stop Shop of Critical Services for Region’s Homeless Population

On Wednesday, October 19th, United Way of the National Capital Area (United Way NCA), the region’s preeminent convener, collaborator and catalyst for social change throughout the National Capital community, will bring together dozens of local service providers to deliver a one-stop shop of critical and life-saving social services, from haircuts to podiatry and medical support, approximately 300 local DC area individuals living in shelters or on the streets.
