Lou Torchia Recognized for Years of Service to the CFC at Appreciation Luncheon

On May 21, the Department of Defense’s Lou Torchia, Program Director of the Voluntary Campaign Management Office, Washington Headquarters Service was recognized for years of service during an appreciation luncheon for overseeing the military’s Combined Federal Campaign efforts in the Washington, D.C. area. 

Since 2004, Mr. Torchia directed a staff and team of Loaned Executives which coordinated the military’s annual Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) at the Pentagon and other Federal military installations in the Washington area in conjunction with the CFC of the National Capital Area. 

Mr. Torchia is moving on to a two year civilian assignment in Qatar in the Middle East.  United Way NCA and all our member nonprofits greatly appreciate Mr. Torchia’s efforts which assisted in the raising of millions of dollars in contributions for United Way NCA and its members during the last eight years.
