Parking:  School parking lot and residential neighborhood on same side of street as school.

Volunteer engagement:  Volunteers to fill backpacks with supplies and write notes of encouragement to students.

Volunteer slots:  20 per shift

Title: Meal Pack Challenge (Washington, DC)

Time: 7:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.

Location: Reflecting Pool (17th Street NW - next to the National World War II Memorial), Washington, DC 20006

Nearest Metro Rail: Smithsonian or Federal Triangle (Orange and Blue Lines) or Arlington Cemetery (Blue Line) which requires a walk over Memorial Bridge

Parking: Limited, free, all-day parking available along Ohio Drive SW; Parking garages available off the National Mall throughout downtown

Volunteer engagement: Volunteers will be grouped with a packaging team to help with the production process (pour ingredients, weigh and seal packages or packs meals).

Attire: Clean, relaxed, casual clothing and comfortable closed-toe shoes.  A t-shirt will be provided.

Minimum volunteer age: 18 years of age

Volunteer engagement:   Volunteers to direct children in games during pre-race fun fair; help with face painting;  direct traffic for parking;  serve as race marshals along 1K & 5K courses to direct runners; help water stations; break down and clean up
