CFC Advocacy

Our staff is out in the community promoting United Way NCA and our network of member organizations at federal campaign events around the region.

Advocacy activities include:

  • Networking: On behalf of United Way member organizations in the CFC, we network and raise awareness among donors, Loaned Executives, campaign managers, volunteers and other key stakeholders.
  • Visbility: Through this relationship building, United Way NCA works to increase the number of CFC speaking engagements and charity fair opportunities available to our member organizations.
  • Awareness: At campaign events where only United Way is present, we promote our members and their CFC designation codes. We also make available member brochures and other information.
  • Promotion: We feature our member CFC codes at www.unitedwaynca.org. Additionally, we raise the visibility of United Way NCA and our member organizations through strategically placed PSAs and ads during campaign season.

Use the Proud Member Logo

Be sure to use the "Proud Member of United Way" logo on your website and marketing pieces to get the most from the exposure of our brand.

Additionally, include the following language on your website or newsletter:

Contribute to [your organization's name] through United Way NCA.

United Way NCA raises funds for [your organization's name] and other high-impact, local nonprofit organizations through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and hundreds of other workplace giving campaigns. These campaigns offer public and private sector employees a convenient way to support [your organization's name] using a payroll contribution plan. [Your organization's name]'s CFC is [your five digit CFC designation code.] If you are not a federal employee, check your campaign brochure for the [your organization's name]'s designation code.

Remember, it's up to all of us to advocate on behalf of our entire nework to ensure the success of the CFC and the benefit to our community.
