At United Way NCA, we recognize that only by working together can we create sustained improvements in the quality of life in our region. That is why we work hard to ensure that our members receive maximum value for their participation. We want you to be a Proud Member of United Way.

We provide a variety of services and resources, including opportunities to engage new donors, advertising and promotion, volunteer placement assistance, and unique community outreach opportunities. United Way NCA is unique in that we have one of the largest and most robust networks in the nation. That means you can collaborate, share ideas, and find supplemental support services for your clients and constituents. And United Way NCA helps you make those connections. All you have to do is sign up to participate. 

FIVE STEPS TOWARD CAMPAIGN SUCCESS!

STEP ONE: Embrace the brand - download your "Proud Member" logo

Download the Proud Member Logo

This year all United Way NCA members are required to display the "Proud Member" logo on their Website, communications and brochures. Download logo files. People throughout the region recognize and value the United Way brand because no matter where in the country they come from, chances are there was a United Way there too, making their hometown a better place to live.

Promote your designation codes: Use your Proud Member logo and Combined Federal Campaign logos to highlight your four digit United Way NCA designation code and your five digit CFC code. Remember, the CFC catalogue is divided by federation, so use the logo lock-up so federal employees know to find your organization under the United Way of the National Capital Area listings. If you are still using the CFC 50th Anniversary logo, please begin phasing it out and using the "Approved Charity" logo available on the Office of Personnel Management's website.

STEP TWO: Connect with us on social media

A great way to stay connected, social media is a key part of how we communicate with our supporters and community partners. Our nonprofit members are encouraged to share their activities, successes and events with us. Click the icons to the right and Like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter. But don't stop there. Interact with us often, Write on our wall, comment on our statuses and tweet about what's going on with your organization. United Way NCA is committed to helping share your news with our supporters and ask you to help share our news with the people in your social networks.

STEP THREE: Sign up for campaign activities

One of the benefits of membership in United Way is the opportunities to promote your mission and good work by participating in our Speakers Bureau and Agency Tour program. Through these programs, you have a unique opportunity to tell your story at workplace campaign events, or invite our participating organizations to witness first-hand how you advance the common good in the greater Washington area.

STEP FOUR: Share your successes

Submit your story now!

One of the most compelling ways that we can convince residents to Live United - to Give, Advocate or Volunteer - is to share with them stories of real people whose lives have been changed for the better through United Way NCA's network of caring organizations.

If you have a story of success achieved by one of your beneficiaries of service, please share it with us, so that we can promote the good work that is being accomplished throughout the national capital area. You can upload a photo of your subject (along with their written consent) to put a human face to the tale you tell.

STEP FIVE: Stay connected

Throughout the year, United Way NCA has numerous new opportunities, cross-member services, connections, collaborative initiatives, and other supportive offerings.
