Member Services
As an equal stake-holder in the partnership, there are a variety of opportunities and resources that our members can take advantage of in order to make the most of your membership and help us achieve our shared vision of a better community.
Speakers Bureau and Agency Tour Program
One of the benefits of membership in United Way is the opportunities to promote your mission and good work by participating in our Speakers Bureau and Agency Tour program.
Through these programs, you have a unique opportunity to tell your story at workplace campaign events, or invite our participating organizations to witness first-hand how you advance the common good in the greater Washington area.

Lunch & Learn Brown Bag Series
The Brown Bag Lunch & Learn series brings a United Way NCA member nonprofit speaker into our workplace campaign sites for an engaging hour-long information session on a variety of potential topics, including:
- The importance of financial education and budgeting for low-income families;
- The realities of homelessness, poverty and hunger in our community;
- The significance of volunteering and mentoring in your local community; and,
- The importance of health care for impoverished citizens in our region, among others.
These small-group sessions should enable the audience to gain valuable insight into issues impacting the community. Presentations should not be used to solicit financial support.

United Way NCA Volunteer Placement Service
If you need volunteers, United Way NCA makes it easy to recruit individual or groups with our new online placement service. All you need to do is activate your account - your credentials have been mailed to your volunteer manager or your primary United Way NCA representative. You can then immediately begin posting specific shifts, ongoing volunteer needs or group opportunities. Plus, you can manage your volunteer contacts, self-administer your postings and run reports on the effectiveness of your volunteer program.
Volunteers can find your opportunities at UnitedWayNCA.org/volunteers.
View the recording of the training webinar on how to post your opportunities.
