The Prince William Region kicks off its campaign in mid-September each year and closes the campaign with a victory luncheon in late June. The luncheon is also our vehicle for announcing the results of the Community Impact Fund grant process. Throughout the annual campaign our RAC Board members participate in campaign kick-offs at various businesses and centers of government within the region. Our Community Impact Fund grant review process is staffed by eighteen volunteers who work diligently from March through May each year to review and grade as many as forty grant proposals.
News
The highlight of the 2008-2009 campaign has been the initiative by the local outlet of a national firm, William Gas Pipeline/Transco, to provide matching funds for a local fund-raising event. Twenty-seven agencies participated in a bowl-a-thon conducted in October, and raised $388,621.80.
