Sandra and David couldn't make ends meet and needed a place for their family. Doorways for Women and Families was able to find temporary housing for them at their beautiful 21-bed Freddie Mac Foundation Family Home for homeless families.
Despite the transition to shelter living, Sandra and David did a great job of remaining positive for their children, and keeping the family schedule as routine as possible. Their daughter felt so comfortable that she once came up to a Doorways for Women staff member and asked, “What are you doing in my house?”
After a short stay, Doorways for Women was able to find a home for their family in Arlington.

We had the privilege of having two children at Camp Fire, both adopted with special needs and identified as having serious learning and behavioral problems, participate in our program.
