Ms. B is a 51 year old woman who lives in Ward 4. She suffers from a genetic disorder which makes it difficult for her to complete light housekeeping in her apartment, shop, or do the laundry.
Ms B has very little support from family or friends. She is too young for DC Office on Aging funded services and, although her income is limited, it is too high for Medicaid. However, United Way Bridge funding has helped Ms B to remain in her home, by providing her with an aide to assist her with chores that she cannot manage independently.

We had the privilege of having two children at Camp Fire, both adopted with special needs and identified as having serious learning and behavioral problems, participate in our program.
